This film had all the elements that make an entertaining film. It doesn't take itself TOO seriously, good laughs, great effects, good chemistry between the cast. The arrival of Bill Nighy's Davy Jones was an added boost to the franchise.

It had been 3 years since the last adventure with Captain Jack Sparrow. Once again it's time to hop on-deck for a second taste of a whole new journey into the world of the infamous Davey Jones. This sequel explorers more pirate myths and legend while maintain to live up to expectation along with great special effects. Who knows what we'll find in Dead Man's Chest... -

My favorite scene is when Jack is arrested by primitive people and tried to get away from there. The fighting scene to gain the key of the heart box is also entertaining. However, the issue of betrayal in this movie doesn't feel good.

Hard to understand but after watching it a couple of times with subtitles you understand what is going on and discover it is actually a smart, funny and great follow up to the first Pirates movie. -

Not my favorite movie but it's a pirates movie. Still a clever story, although confusing the first time you watch it. Johnny still gives an amazing performance and I liked Orly's character better in this one.

I was very pleasantly surprised with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the BLack Pearl. It was a fun swashbuckling tale with amazing sword-fights and special effect loosely base on one of my favorite rides at Disneyland. That being said, i took my time seeing the sequels because of different reasons. Basically, you can strike oil blindly once the second time you try, you might not get it. Dead Man's Chest has it's good parts. It has beautiful scenery and some stunts/special effects that I just could not figure out how they did it. However it was long (and I'm all for long movies). The story drags in the middle and in the end, I just wasn't all that interested.

Love it. With a whole range of new characters, Hans Zimmer has not disappointed me with the new variety of music, which is weaved with film sections and show that some of the characters are involved, even though they might be there.

I LOVE the Pirates movies but this one was a bit different. I was not a big fan of Davy Jones (the tentacle creature). The acting was GREAT but the story seemed a bit long. It was just "ok".

Once again, brilliant acting from Mr Depp, creating one of the most ambigous charcater in movie history. Great action sequences and stunts. Terrific cinematography and scenery. Suplots come together wonderfully to form one great movie. One of the best endings I've seen in a while.

MCT:September 19, 2008This movie looks like it cost millions to make, and that's no compliment. Johnny Depp (a once almost great actor) gives more of his drunk pirate schtick for this wallopping lame feature. The cast will leave you wondering "why"? The stunts will leave you saying "it's too lame", and the sets will leave you saying, "Duh ayuh duh duh"...just before Johnny Depp says the same thing (again).

really really well :D
i dont think any one could play jack better than johnny.
he plays jack sooo hott,funny, && sexy
something you wouldnt expect from a pirate :) lol.
when the karken ate jack i was like "omg,this movie sucks !" lol i was like mad.
but then you'll see what happens in the 3rd one ;)
