Pixar maintain their record for great films despite what some reviewers have said.
Cars is a beautiful looking film that is bursting with imagination and creative flair. It flows at a gentle pace but has enough humour to keep most people amused. The tractor tipping scene is hilarious! (27.11.06), (13.10.08)
A fun animated movie about what would happen if the cars that people drive every day could talk. This movie has a great soundtrack including some fun Country Music (my favorite genre). This movie will be enjoyed by the entire family again and again!
Lightling McQueen (Owen Wilson) becomes championship @ Piston Cup stock car racing when he discovers that Doc Hudson (Paul Newman) is actually the "Hudson Hornet", a three-time Piston Cup champion forced to retire after a racing accident, who chose to disappear quietly in Radiator Springs was once a popular waypoint along U.S. Route 66.
Not Pixar's finest hour. Still a good film - but a children's film through and through. Seems to be a stopgap between Incredibles and Ratatouille. Kids will love the basic Disney sentiment.
Animation is beautiful in places - but nothing special
Good story and memoraable characters. The animation quality was outstading, the background scenery looked pretty real.
I can't believe I still didn't see it.
I don't remember y I didn't see it on theatre, cause I soo wanted to.
:(
one of the best pixar movies ever this movie made me laugh and it almost made me cry like at the end of the movie but this was a gd movie it had gd actors in here to well if you have not seen this movie its about Lightning McQueen is a young, hotshot rookie race car in the last race of the season. At the end of the race, he finds out he is tied with Chick Hicks and The King. On the way to the tie-breaker race in Los Angeles, California, some hot punk cars get him lost in a little town called Radiator Springs on the old Route 66 road, which has been long forgotten many years ago. Scared to death, he tears up the town's main road and is sentenced to community service by Doc Hudson. During this time, he meets a funny, but lovable tow truck named Mater and a Porsche Carrera named Sally. He also meets some other cars, whom which he finds to be quite odd. All he wants to do is get out of this town and back into the big city, but as the week until the race goes on, the town folk help him discover that life isn't just about trophies, fame, and sponsorships and McQueen learns about family and friendship. but this was a really gd movie and its funny to great pixar movie so i love it a really gd pixar movie=]
An ok pixar film. Pacing was off during the film. Hopefully the sequel will be better. Sadly, it will be without the voice of Paul Newman.
TUH-MATER!!! but without the TUH! lol my son's fave movie. dont even ATTEMPT to ask me how many times i've watched this! im NEVER tired of it! as a matter of fact, i watched it just a couple hours ago!!!
A fun film, but not very high on my list of favourite Pixars. It was very heavy handed and predictable.
Awesome Movie... i laughted.. i cried.. i laughed cause i was crying... Great family movie..paul was a great man. he will be missed
I didnt watch this entire movie but what I did watch was pretty good. I liked the graphics that they used. They looked great. At the beginning I wasnt sure what to expect from the movie, because I'm a girl and this is a movie about cars. What was I suppose to expect? Then my friend at school kept telling me that this was his favourite movie and it was good. So I gave it a chance. I watched it and it was pretty good. I only realised like half way through the movie that Owen Wilson was Lighting McQueen. I liked the last race that was really entertaining. I liked it.
best animated movie ever.
complete with sad, happiness, adventure, love, friendship, moral, and many more.
incredibally in cartoon
*grins* I do like this movie a whole bunch. But I grew up around cars and NASCAR, so maybe I'm fated to.
A completely unnecessary addition to an increasingly poor run of Pixar animations that are becoming totally about visuals and very little about wit and charm. The new era of animated family movies seems to have set up a formula: money + famous people + fancy visuals + loose moral. Sadly it's working less and less, and this dull but brightly-coloured unfunny pointless film is just further evidence that children's movies are no longer made for the right reasons. Some might argue that the idea is unique- well yes, but I could make the first ever movie about carpet cleaners, that doesn't mean it would be any good. Just watchable for a couple of good lines, but really, stick to the old ones!
Ka chang- what a movie..Owen Wilson provides the voice of rising champion hotshot nascar car Lightning Mc Queen who is all glory and self centered until he winds up in Radiator Spriings where he meets alot of unforgettable characters like Mator the tow truck, Doc, Luigi who is crazy over Ferrari's and the love of his life Sally a beautiful blue Porsche it is here that Lightning Mc Queen learns a valuable life leasson and look out for a guest voice of Retired World Champion F1 driver Micheal Shumacher as a red Ferrari..
I really don't know what to think...It was cute, but...Cars?! Kind of a weird subject. I wasn't really that fond of it.
I have to say this much-I was blown away by such a cute movie! This was the first ever film my son watched all the way through. I even liked Larry the Cable Guy!
I just can't like this movie. That's hard to say coming from a huge Pixar fan like myself. My biggest problem: They're cars..... Talking cars...
It's just not fun and I feel that the whole car thing gave the art designers alot of chances to slack. It's simply less creative than any other Pixar film out there (with the exception of Chicken Little, which was horrible).
pretty good at the end, thought the cars could have been more interesting but its a childs movie, what can you expect from preset notions on CG's huh?
I loved this movie. Owen Wilson was great as Lightning. I also love that Paul Newman was Doc Hudson. Good movie.
I love pixar movies but I have to say that this is their worst film but it is still quite enjoyable.
Started pretty bad, but the last part was really good. The feeling afterwards was "What a great movie".
excellent. good old disney but mainly the amazing talent at pixar. they are really the new heavyweights.
Though the story is cute, but still not excited and tickled with the idea of a love story starring "cars"???
